The explanation of the moves are great, it goes at a good pace. There were a lot of moves even on the first DVD that I didn't know about.
I like the timing of the demos the best. I've done other dvds and they can be either too fast or painfully slow.

Jamilla explains dance very well. She breaks every move down to its most basic form with a focus on safety, technique and polish. I've b3en dancing for 4 years and am relearning technique from even the basic level 1 set. I highly recommend!

If you are going to practice pole dancing at home, this is probably one of the better video series. If you have never taken a class, I would recommend doing so to learn some fundamental before you start.
The first video does help with learning moves but it is always beneficial to know some important stretching and safety things first.
Since classes can range from $25 to $50 an hour, paying $125 for videos to practice at home is not that hefty an investment.
If you find a good teacher I would still recommend going to classes a few times a month. It is nice to have someone spot you during inverts and climbing.

There's nothing bad I can say about this set. It includes a warm-up, cool down with stretching, pole conditioning, instruction on static and spinning pole, instruction on spotting, LOTS of different pole moves, and the moves are generally ordered from easiest to hardiest.

These pole dancing DVDs are perfect for anyone, a beginner would find it useful for the clearly explained beginner moves and can watch the more advanced DVDs to get inspiration to keep practicing. Even if you are not beginner Jemilla Deville is so talented that even the more advanced can learn from her. I am still picking up useful beginner tips that I did not know. Anyone looking to buy a DVD for pole dance I would definately recommend this 5 DVD set :)

These pole dancing DVDs are amazing! I have been pole dancing for the last four years so when I put on DVD 1 I thougt I would have seen it all. What a mistake! These dvds are so complete and thorough you will learn how to pole dance perfectly. Jamilla Deville explains it perfectly and understandably for beginners as for advanced pole dancers. I would recommend this dvd collection to anyone who is interested in pole dancing or is already doing it. You are never too old to learn :) Especially with this dvd collection!
